Times change, needs change. "Working with Delmarva" may be for the greater good. However, working with a bureaucracy like a utility provider involves a lot of red tape, time and resources. Changing by-laws of a small community is much easier. How much time do residents REALLY spend looking at each other's roofs? We have lived in the neighborhood for nearly a year now, in a townhome, and neither my husband nor I have ever sat on our deck or at one of our windows and stared out at a neighbor's roof. Finally, I'll submit that the meeting is actually the place to have this debate/discussion so that all who are interested can be involved in an informed conversation about the issue. Trying to "debate" it over a thread on a website that does not appear to be visited too frequently does not seem the best forum. The only reason I am commenting here is suggest that we all keep open minds and focus on our community and what is best for the good of the community, not on what some may consider to be a less-than-attractive addition or on what state-wide projects we can undertake vis a vis utility providers.
