Dog Barking

Posted in: Ballymeade
Spring will be here

Great response - Spring is on the way and we will all want to open our windows and enjoy the weather. However, with the constant barking this will ruin a beautiful Spring day. Can someone talk to the owner of the German Shephard across from the playground on Shewsbury Drive and ask them to stop being so inconsiderate of others - we do not enjoy hearing their dog constantly barking or as another resident put it HOWLING!!!

Folks....writing about the dog on this website will result in nothing being done.  To get results at all you will need to do the following:

1. Call BC Consulting, tell Elise Nelson at BC the address.  She will send a letter to the home owners.

2. Call the New Castle County Police when the dog is out side barking.  And keep calling them each time.  It's county code that dogs cannot bark from 10 pm to 6 am or something like that...look it up on the county website.

Get this done now before spring when you have your windows open.

The dog barking has become unrully, noise polluting, disconsiderate, plaine ignorante to the neighbors around them/us.It's obviouse the owners of these pets simply dont care about theyre surroundings,or the home owners that have a lot invested in theyre real astate.Given the time these owners pets have let the loud awakeing moon howling bark us out of rest and peace we need and want and are so dearly paying for!

A certain neighbor in Ballymeade who owns a home adjacent to some mailboxes and who has an illegal fence around the yard to contain some yapping dogs is not only disrespectful to those in the community but exhibits a disregard for the health of visitors walking by who are alarmed by the barking dogs.  This neighbor does nothing to restrain this dog and should be reported to the police and the civic association for a violation of the New Castle County noise ordinance and the peace of the neighborhood.  If you want more help with this issue after you try to help yourself with these suggestions please contact the Del-Del Noise Coalition at bejakajo@yahoo.com.

The Lord helps those who help themselves.  Don't count on other people to report this dog and others near the playground.  You call the police and report a violation of the New Castle County noise ordinance.  Also call your civic association leaders and ask them to speak with these owners (who obviously have no appreciation for the nuisance and health risks which arise from the stress connected with loud noises including the noise of large barking dogs.)  If you have unsatisfactory results from these efforts please contact the Del-Del Noise Coalition at bejakajo@yahoo.com but be prepared to assist with other noise in the environment issues if you do so.  In order to take you must give.  By joining forces with others you will find strength in numbers.
