BALLYMEADE

Trash Bins - Letter Sent to 58 Home Owners

There have been many complaints recently about trash bins kept in front of homes, in full sight - both townhomes and single family.  Instead of dealing with one complaint at a time, it was decided to do three car tours of the whole development and make note of the homes that are in continuous violation of this deed restriction.  The car tours were conducted on Saturday and Sunday mornings prior to 11:00 a.m. - two in July, one in August.   A total of 58 homes are in continuous violation of the deed restriction

The letter below was sent on Sept 16, 2010 to each of the 58 homeowners.  If you received this letter PLEASE put your trash bin in your garage.  Having the trash pail in your garage will not kill you, it will not harm your children,  it will not harm your pets.  The other 185 homeowners are in compliance with this deed restriction and are perfectly healthy.  The other 185 homeowners we are sure dont' like looking out their window at YOUR trash bin all the while you get to look out YOUR window and see just their nicely maintained home, garden and NO trash bin.   If something smelly is in your trash bin leave it outside, sure, why not, until the trash hauler takes it.  But after that, put the trash bin back in the garage, out of sight, so your neighbor across the street doesn't have to look at it every day, day in day out.  Thank you.

Dear ______,

It is one of the functions of the Ballymeade Maintenance Corporation to help preserve the integrity of and maintain the property values of Ballymeade.  With that in mind, a situation has been brought to our attention that we want to share with you.

We have noticed that you have been leaving your trash can out. Article I, Section 6 of the Ballymeade Declaration of Restrictions states,

“Trash receptacles shall be kept in clean, sanitary and enclosed areas, hidden from view, excepting that they may be placed temporarily at street side on the regular day of collection if required by the collection agency.”

We are requesting that you please keep your trash can out of view except on trash day.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.  It is our philosophy that all residents benefit when everyone maintains their properties within the deed restrictions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our property management company, BC Communities, at the above number.

 Sincerely,

 Ballymeade Maintenance Corporation
